After checking out many reviews, I purchased this Hoover Stick Vac for quick pick-ups rather than constantly having to pull out my large vac. With the rolling brush, it does a great job of getting any crumbs and hair off carpeting and bare floor. The see-through dirt cup allows you to see when the cup is full. It is light weight and does not make a lot of noise. I am very pleased with this purchase and am considering buying another one for a back room. I'm impressed with the powerful suction, slim head for getting under cabinets and couches, and it's overall slim design and light weight for overall use and storage. It's also super easy to remove the dirt cup to empty it's contents. The only thing I thought wasn't great was the swivel steering, but it's not enough to rate this less than 5 stars. My intent was to use this vac maybe once a week as a supplement to hauling out my old Electrolux canister vac more than once a week. My apartment is approximately 850 SF with very low pile wall to wall carpet. The kitchen and bathroom are linoleum. I have two Ragdoll cats; one with long hair. I use the closet in the 8X10 BR to house their litter box and I wanted this vac to work easily in that space, along with the remainder of the 8X10 room. The vac performed as I had hoped and I give that 5 stars. I also wanted to use the bare floor function for the bathroom and kitchen/fatigue mat...this also gets 5 stars. I really like the swivel function especially on the kitchen floor when going between chair legs; it also works well in the small 8X10 carpeted room.
